Description

This is a house, likely originating as a farm building and later converted into cottages. It probably dates to the 18th century or earlier, although it has been thoroughly repaired and partially rebuilt in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of plastered cob or stone, with parts rebuilt in block, and has an asbestos slate roof with gables at each end.

The house has a single-depth, main block with a central entrance. The asymmetrical front has three windows. There is a recessed, two-leaf, half-glazed front door. The windows are timber casements, with two and three lights, and glazing bars on both the ground and first floors.

The interior was not inspected during a recent survey, but the 1975 listing description mentioned chamfered cross beams and exposed wall posts. The roof is entirely 20th century in construction. The house is located near Manor Farmhouse and was likely part of the same property at one time. It is included in the listing for group value.
