Description
This building is a linhay, likely from the 18th century, located immediately south-east of Manor Cottages in Lower Netherton. It is constructed of cob and stone rubble, topped with a corrugated iron roof that is half-hipped at the right end and hipped at the left end. The linhay has a rectangular shape and is positioned at right angles to Manor Cottages. The left end, which faces the road, appears to have been rebuilt in stone rubble and features a large doorway. The exterior includes a loft, with a loft window on the left side. The right end is partly weather-boarded and has three ground floor doorways, along with an open-fronted loft. Inside, the roof consists of pegged collar rafter roof trusses, with the principal rafters pegged into the vertical posts that divide the bays at the right end. This linhay has group value with Nos. 1 and 2 Manor Cottages.
