Description
The Midland Bank is a house in a row that also serves as a bank, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It has a rendered exterior and an asbestos-cement slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features two windows. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay with a 20th-century display window and a 19th-century door, which is located under a frieze and a moulded cornice. To the far left, there is a six-panel flush 19th-century door with an overlight, set in a doorcase that has fluted slender round pilasters and a fluted frieze leading to a segmental pediment. The first floor includes a 12-pane sash window on the left and a canted oriel window with a configuration of 8:12:8 panes that leads to a flat roof. There is a moulded fascia and a central lay-light positioned low in the roof slope. A brick stack is located on the right side of the building.
