Description

This is an early 19th-century house, one of a pair situated on the north side of Church Street, Modbury. The building is constructed with smooth render and has an asbestos cement slate roof. It adjoins and is slightly set back from number 24, sharing similar architectural details. The house is two storeys high, featuring two windows with 16-pane sashes. The lower-left sash is a replacement, although it occupies the position of an earlier doorway. Much of the original glass remains in the sashes. The right return side has a 20th-century door beneath a 16-pane sash window. The roof is hipped on the right side, with a brick gable stack. A plinth terminates at pavement level.
