Description
Moonsmead is a house located at the end of a row on Church Street in Modbury. It possibly dates back to the 17th century, with 19th-century windows. The exterior features painted slate hanging and a plain rendered deep flush plinth, topped with an asbestos-cement slate roof that is hipped to the left. The house has two storeys and two windows, all of which are 4-pane sashes, although the first floor windows are not aligned with those on the ground floor. On the far right, there is a glazed door with margin bars set in deep reveals, which is sheltered by a flimsy hood. A small brick stack is centered at the front eaves, and a larger stack is located behind the hipped end. At the left end of the property, there is a slightly set back narrow section of granite wall, approximately 3.5 meters high, which abuts No 26 to the left.
