Description

Dear House is an early 19th-century house situated at the end of a row in Church Street, Modbury. The house is of smooth rendered construction with a slate roof. It has two storeys and three windows, all of which are 12-pane sashes, including two replacements. A deep-set, central four-panel fielded door with overlight is accessed by four prominent stone steps in a half-circle. To the right is a low cellar access, and a plain return wall. Gable stacks are present, and the plinth appears to die into the pavement.
