Description

The building at 25 South Street is an 18th-century property, originally comprising three cottages that have since been combined into a single dwelling. A later addition was built at the west end. It is two storeys in height. The original south-facing front, which overlooks the garden, has one window on each floor. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and features an old rendered stack. The materials are Devonian random limestone rubble for the south front, and roughcast rendered stone on the north side, which faces the street. The upper floor has two-light mullioned casement windows with glazing bars and wooden lintols. A recessed doorway with a boarded door is found on the north front.
