Description
Whiteheath House is a detached house with an early 18th century core cottage at the rear and an early 19th century addition to the east. The building features coursed rubble with a stone slate roof on the cottage, and the east addition has colourwashed render with a shallow-pitched Welsh slate roof that has oversailing eaves and paired ashlar stacks at each end, the right stack having been rebuilt. The east front of the house is three storeys high and has three windows. The windows are timber with two ogee-headed-light mullions set in recessed moulded reveals, featuring 8-pane sashes and a single light in the centre window on the first floor. There is a central blocked doorway with a round-arched two-light casement. To the left, there is a castellated loggia with pointed-arched openings and a six-panel door. To the right, a castellated porch has a pointed-arched plank door. The two-storey cottage front to the right has less elaborate Gothick fenestration. The rear addition contains a replacement staircase. The interior is not accessible.
