Description

This is a late 19th-century cast-iron lamp post located approximately 1 metre to the west of the Boat Float steps on The Quay in Dartmouth. The lamp post features an attractive octagonal pedestal that rises to a bell-shaped plinth, supporting a main standard designed to resemble sprouting foliage. This standard culminates in a small cluster of leaves beneath two tapered and fluted arms. The lamp post is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
