Description

This is a lamp post located approximately 2.5 metres to the east of No. 7 in Dartmouth. It dates from the late 19th century and was reset in its current position around 1975. The lamp post is made of cast iron and features an ornamental design. It has a tubular pedestal with a moulded base that includes a gadrooned ring. The bulbous base is decorated with anthemia and leads to a tapering stem that has no arms. There are four curving brackets that support a restored lantern with a top ventilator. The lamp post is included for its group value.
