Description

This is a lamp post located approximately 2.5 metres to the east of No. 11 in Bayards Cove, Dartmouth. It dates from the late 19th century and was reset in its current position around 1975. The lamp post is made of cast iron and features a panelled pedestal embossed with the founder's mark, Willeys of Exeter. It has a fluted stem that sits on a moulded base, leading to plain arms. Above, there is a bifurcated bracket supporting a restored lantern. The lamp post is included for its group value.
