Description

The Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage located in a row of cottages in Noss Mayo, Newton and Noss. It is constructed of whitewashed stone rubble and features a slate roof with gabled ends, with the right side having a slightly lower roof level. The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows are 19th and 20th-century two and three-light casements with glazing bars and wooden lintels. The central doorway is framed with a heavy wooden lintel and has a plank door. To the left of the doorway, there is a projecting stone rubble chimney stack on the front, which has set-offs. At the left end of the cottage, there is a single-storey lean-to with a plank door.
