Description

The Village Hall, originally built as a chapel and later used as a school, dates from 1839. It is constructed of stone rubble with freestone dressings in a gothic style. The building features a concrete tile roof with a gabled front that includes a stone gabled bellcote. The front facade has a tripartite pointed-arch window with a hood mould, situated above a four-centred arch doorway that has a label and a ledged door. At the apex of the gable, there is a small trefoil opening with the year 1839 inscribed on slate, along with a clock face above it. The structure is supported by corner pilaster buttresses that have set-offs.
