Description

Glen Cottage is a detached cottage, likely originally built as two dwellings, dating from the early 18th century. The exterior is rendered rubble, with some exposed rubble at ground floor level on the left side, and has a thatched roof. It is two storeys high with three windows. These are small, 2-light casement windows with horizontal bars, although the ground floor window on the left has smaller panes. All the windows are set under wooden lintels, and the first floor windows have slight eyebrows. A slate-roofed lean-to porch is located off-centre to the right. Gable stacks are present, and the roof slopes down at the back on the right side. The interior contains two staircases, including a stone spiral staircase to the right gable end. The cottage is situated on a track leading from Bigbury Green.
