Description

The front garden wall immediately east of Court Prior Farmhouse is a garden wall dating from the early to mid 19th century. Constructed of shale rubble, it encloses a fairly large rectangular garden located in front of the right end of the farmhouse. The left side of the wall is lower and features a gateway leading to the farmyard. The front wall is also low, while the wall on the right side facing the road is higher and includes a gateway onto the road. Additionally, there is a wall surrounding a smaller garden in front of the left end of the house; this wall is also made of shale rubble but is capped with pieces of quarry rubble.
