Description
The front garden area wall, gateway, and mounting block immediately south of Combe Farmhouse date from around 1830. They are constructed of local stone rubble, featuring a brick arch for the gateway. The farmhouse is positioned at a right angle to the road, so the side wall of the front garden faces the road and slopes up towards the front of the house on the right. At the left end of the wall, there is a brick round-arched gateway with a keystone and a plank door. The wall extends in front of the house, creating a raised triangular front garden area above the road level. Additionally, there is a mounting block leading to a pedestrian gateway that provides access to the farm track in front of the garden.
