Description
The gateway and adjoining mounting block, located in the garden wall to the south-west of Combe Hill House, date from around the 1790s. The gateway features a rusticated design with a sharply pointed four-centred head, imposts, and a moulded cornice. The flanking walls are made of rubble and ramp down for approximately 1 yard on either side. Adjacent to the south pier, there is a mounting block consisting of four steps.
