Description
The quadrant walls, pair of gate piers, and gates located to the east of Combe Grove Lodge were built in the late 18th century and mid 19th century for Combe Grove Hotel. The flanking quadrant walls are made of rubble and ashlar, extending approximately 7 yards to the south and 15 yards to the north. They rise to large rusticated gate piers that feature moulded caps and urn finials. The ornamental cast iron double gates, which have spear finials, are said to have been brought from the Great Exhibition of 1851.
