Description
The front garden area walls and gate piers, located immediately to the east-north-east of Court Barton, are likely from the early 18th century and were built around the same time as the remodeling of Court Barton. They are constructed from local stone rubble and do not have coping. The walls enclose three sides of a rectangular front garden, featuring a pedestrian gateway at the center. The gate piers are square in plan and topped with granite caps and ball finials. Additionally, the wall serves as a retaining wall for the adjacent farmyard to the north and the churchyard to the north-east, both of which are at a higher ground level than the front garden of Court Barton.
