Description

The churchyard wall and gates of St Mary's Priory Church date from the 19th century and are located on the north side of High Street. The main south and west sides feature red sandstone walls, while the older churchyard walls on the east and north sides are constructed from Devonian limestone rubble, topped with weathered granite coping. The west gate is marked by octagonal gate piers with crenellated caps. The east and north gateways have ashlar gate piers with pyramidal caps and cast iron gates.
