Description

Number 9 on High Street is a building that likely dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century and has been altered over time. It has two storeys and features a gabled dormer with one window. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has projecting eaves, while the old masonry stack has been heightened with red brick. The party walls are constructed of masonry. The front of the building is rendered and timber-framed, with the first floor displaying paired Yorkshire casements. There is a modern shop front and doorway that retains the coved cornice from an early 19th-century shop.
