Description
14 High Street is an early 19th-century building that has been refronted and remodeled. The building has three storeys and features two paired windows. It has a hipped Welsh slate roof and a plastered front with a modillion eaves cornice. A Jacobean frieze at the first floor level imitates the design of the adjacent No 16. The ground floor is faced with modern slate, while the first and second floors have architraved sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor openings are modern and segmental arched. Inside, there is an earlier 19th-century staircase. The front was renovated by Barclays Bank in 1967.
