Description

20 High Street is a building that possibly dates back to the 16th century but was refronted in the late 19th century. It has two storeys and features two paired windows on the first floor. The roof is made of Welsh slate and the gabled front is adorned with carved bargeboards, finials, and bracketed eaves pendants. There is ornamental plasterwork in the gable. The first floor retains close-studded, exposed timber framing from the 16th century, complete with bressumers and plaster panels. The first floor also has sash windows with architraves. The building includes an early 19th-century wooden shop front with pilasters that support an entablature, although modern shop windows and doorways have been added.
