Description
The walls surrounding the churchyard of St Mary's Church date from the 18th century and are constructed of stock brick, with some areas repaired. On the east side of the church, the walls stand about 4 feet tall and feature a ridged stone coping. There is a small wrought iron gate located at the northeast, set between square piers with stone dressings, and a similar gateway can be found at the southeast. The walls on the southwest and west sides are taller and have a sloped brick coping. The south entrance has stone-dressed piers but lacks gates. To the north of the churchyard, east of the church, there is a similar length of taller wall.
