56 Fore Street is a building from the 18th century or early 19th century that has been altered. It is three stories tall with upper floors that are hung with slate. The building features a splay bay sash window, which still retains some of its glazing bars. It has wide eaves and a hipped slate roof. Currently, it houses a modern wood shop.
