Description
This late 18th-century linhay and outbuilding, located approximately 10 metres north of Whitefield Barton, features eight bays on the east side and seven on the west. The structure is made of roughly dressed stone square piers and has a corrugated roof with gable ends. Each bay includes infill of wood or stone up to the loft level. At the north end, there is a right-angled extension that serves as a cart-shed and loose boxes, also topped with a corrugated roof. A notable feature is a 18th-century gate pier made of large dressed stone blocks at the west gable end. This building is included for its group value.
