Description

The Shapland gravestone, located approximately 3 metres south of the south-east corner of the south aisle of the Church of St Hieritha, is a headstone dating from 1827. It was created by Harris and is made of slate with a shaped head. The gravestone features an inscription dedicated to Susanna Shapland, who died in 1827, along with urn decoration and a verse at the top.
