Description
Clevedown is a cottage with probable origins in the 18th century, which was remodeled in the late 19th century. It features painted rendered stone rubble and cob construction, topped with an asbestos slate roof that has gable ends. A yellow brick ridge stack is present. The cottage has a two-storey structure with a three-window range, all featuring four-pane horned sashes. The ground floor includes a three-over-six paned window to the left and a shallow canted bay window with a hipped asbestos slate roof to the right of a brick porch. The porch has a gabled asbestos slate roof, crested ridge tiles, and a spike finial. There is also a blocked doorway on the right gable end, suggesting the cottage may have been divided into two separate living spaces at one time. The interior has not been inspected.
