Description
Wesleyan Chapel is a chapel built in 1858 and refronted in 1905. It features random stone rubble with a rendered facade and vermiculated quoins. The slate roof has coped gable ends. The building is rectangular, oriented with its gable end facing the street. The entrance front has a pediment with a moulded cornice, a ball finial, and a central plaque inscribed "Wesleyan Chapel 1858." There are two tall lancet windows flanking a steeply pointed moulded arched doorway, which has a 1905 datestone and a large roundel window above. Each side of the chapel has three bays of pointed arched windows that retain the original Gothick fenestration with intersecting glazing bars. The interior was remodelled in 1905.
