5/70 Group of 3 Shapland chest tombs - about 7 metres south east of the chancel of the Church of St George GV II

3 coffin-shaped chest tombs. Late C19. Slate. Coffin-shaped chests with panelled sides and oversailing moulded lids, all commemorating members of the Shapland family. The easternmost commemorates Ann Shapland, died 1868. Of the pair to the east, the southern commemorates George Shapland, died 1861, the northern Marianna Shapland, died 1872. An unusual group.
