Description
Smythapark House is a house built in 1857. It features snecked stone construction with hipped slate roofs and stacks at each end, supported by shaped brackets at the eaves. The building has a symmetrical layout, with a central hall flanked by single rooms at the front and two right-angled projections at the rear. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range of 19th-century sash windows with six over six panes. The ground floor includes canted bay windows, likely added in the late 19th century, with an unmoulded plat band above. The central doorway is flanked by plain pilasters and an entablature featuring a keystone dated 1857. Inside, there is a four-panelled inner door with an overlight, and to the left end of the hall, there is a large round-arched window with a diamond glazing pattern.
