Description
South Sea House is a house built in 1850. It is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped slate roof with boarded eaves and three internal stacks. The building has a double pile design and a symmetrical facade that includes three sixteen-pane hung sash windows with segmental arches and stone sills. On either side of the central doorway, which has a flat hood supported by shaped brackets and panelled reveals, are similar windows. The doorway is framed by a moulded doorcase and has a flush panelled door with two small glazed upper panels. Below the central window on the first floor, there is a stone panel that is painted and inscribed with "South Sea House 1850".
