Description

Dovecot Cottage is a building that dates back to the 18th century. It features a timber frame that is plaster rendered, with a tiled hipped roof that has flight holes in the gablets, which are also plaster rendered. There is a 19th-century gault brick chimney stack. The cottage has two storeys and an attic, with 19th-century flush frame horizontal sliding sash windows. The original doorway was located on the north side. At ground level, there are single-storey lean-to extensions. Inside, there is a 19th-century staircase, and in the attic, the trap door from the landing stage to the dovecote remains intact.
