Description

Town Farmhouse is a house with origins in the 17th century, but the main range was constructed in the 18th century. It is built of red brick with timber framing to the 17th-century portion. The house has a tiled roof, with an original ridge stack and 19th-century bargeboarding. The plan is based on a lobby entry and three rooms. It is two storeys high, with three gabled dormers added in the 19th century and a three-brick plat band between the storeys. Each storey has three window openings, which were enlarged in the 19th century, and contain three-light casement windows. The doorway has a pilastered doorcase with an entablature and a small hood. The door itself dates to the 19th century. Inside, there are some 18th-century details, including a fireplace.
