Description

Pryors Cottage is a cottage dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. It originally comprised an open hall with a crosswing at the east end. A floor was inserted and a stack added in the 17th century. The cottage was renovated later. It is timber framed, with rendered walls and a reed thatched roof. The upper courses of the timber frame were rebuilt to match the original 17th-century stack. A 19th-century stack is located at the west end. The hall range is single-storey with an attic space, featuring one dormer window. There are two 20th-century casement windows in the hall range, and one similar window on each storey of the crosswing. The interior is not accessible for inspection.
