Description

The Gospel Hall, likely built in the 19th century, is a small chapel constructed of heavily mortared stone rubble, except for the south side which is roughcast rendered. It features a slate roof with plain bargeboards at each gable end, with the ritual west end being taller. The building is a single storey with a lower 20th-century rubble extension and a lean-to at the left gable end.

On each side, there are pairs of tilting casement windows with 8/12 panes, slate sills, and thin lintels, inserted into former pointed arched openings. At the ritual east end, there is a small square window with 2/2 panes set high, also with slate sills and a lintel. A pointed arch doorway is located in the extension on the north side wall, featuring a plank door.

The chapel is surrounded by a small graveyard enclosed by a rubble wall with rounded stone capping, which is low on the left-hand end, north, and part of the far side, but higher at the right-hand end. The nearside entrance has gate piers built up with a wrought iron gate featuring pointed bars and dogbars, along with a small wrought iron gate at the nearside left corner with a central spear-headed bar. The plain interior has pews facing west, suggesting that the orientation of the chapel may have been reversed with the addition of the extension.
