Description
Hunts Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 16th century. It is constructed of colourwashed rendered rubble and features a slate roof. The left gable end has a rubble stack with a rounded bread-oven capped with slate, while a large lateral hall stack has slated offsets and an inward sloping cap with weathering. There is also a small stack at the right gable end. The layout consists of a three-cell cross-passage plan, with a projecting slated stair turret at the rear and a slated lean-to roof on an outshut that extends the facade forward at the lower service end. The building is 1½ storeys high. An ancient cross-passage door with cover strips is located to the right of a small square window that has a grille bar in a deep reveal. Above, there are two-light centre-hinged casements over a two-light hall casement with a stone sill, all featuring six panes per light.
