Description

TAWSTOCK HARRACOTT SS 52 NE 4/71 - The Forge

GV II Cottage. C18 extended in late C19. Rendered stone and cob. Hipped thatch roof. Lateral rendered stack to rear left side enclosed by outshut. Built on corner of crossroads. Basically 2-room plan with C19 2-storey extension to front, formerly a shop and C19 outshut to rear, both with corrugated iron roofs, with principal direct entry at left end. 2 storeys. Irregular, principally C19 fenestration with variously paned 2-light casements. Gabled timber porch at left end and plank door. Small shop window to 2- storey extension with glazing bars and 4 panelled door to left.
