Description
Harracott House is a former parsonage to Hiscott Church, now a private dwelling, built around 1840. The house is constructed from rendered stone rubble and features a hipped slate roof with sprocketted eaves and brick stacks on each side. It has a double fronted central hall and staircase plan, with two rooms deep and two service wings to each side at the rear, creating an overall U-shaped layout over two storeys. The façade is symmetrical with three bays and includes quoin pilasters. The windows are 16 paned hornless sashes above French doors that flank a Tuscan porch with a six-panelled door. The internal joinery is largely intact, showcasing a geometrical staircase with a wreathed handrail, stick balusters, and a moulded string, although the fireplaces have been altered.
