Description

Little Thatch is an 18th-century cottage that has been extended to the rear in the 20th century. The construction is of rendered stone and cob, with a thatched roof and brick stacks at each gable end. A hipped corrugated asbestos roof covers the 20th-century rear wing. The cottage originally had a two-room, direct-entry plan but now incorporates a 20th-century staircase leading to the rear wing, creating an overall T-shaped plan. It is two storeys high with a two-window front. The upper floor has two-light casement windows, with six panes per light on the left and two panes per light on the right. The ground floor features a two-light casement with three panes per light on the left, and a six-paned fixed light window to the right of the gabled thatched porch. A plank door is fitted with two glazed panels above. The interior has not been inspected.
