Description
Rose Dene is one of a pair of houses built in the early to mid 19th century. The building features a roughcast exterior and a gabled slated roof with wide eaves. There is a rendered axial stack on the left side. Rose Dene is the right house of the two symmetrical semi-detached homes, each having a central entrance hall with flanking rooms. The left house, Westella, is not included due to alterations.
The exterior showcases a symmetrical late Georgian front with two storeys and two bays. It has 12-pane sash windows with exposed sash boxes. There are two door openings; to the left is a half-glazed door with a later half-glazed porch and an interesting traceried glazed door, while the door opening to the right also features a half-glazed door. The interior has not been inspected.
