Description
This building is a former Non-conformist chapel that has been converted into a village hall. It dates from the early 19th century and was altered in 1913. The structure is made of roughcast with a gabled slate roof. It has a simple Regency style and is rectangular in shape. The exterior features two storeys, with the right side displaying a domestic-style front that consists of four bays and original 20-pane double-hung sash windows. The entrance front has a gable and a corrugated iron lean-to porch, which includes an interesting traceried door on the side, above a blocked doorway window opening. Inside, behind the corrugated-iron porch, there are two pointed-arch door openings leading into the main body of the chapel, both with traceried doors. The main hall on the ground floor is mostly featureless, except for a narrow straight-flight staircase with stick balusters that leads to the first floor.
