Description
Hele Mill is an 18th-century corn mill located in Ilfracombe. The building is constructed of whitewashed rubble and features a slate roof that slopes down over the three left-hand bays. It stands two storeys high and has a four-window range, along with a loading door at the first-floor level. On the right gable end, there is an 18-foot iron overshot wheel that is exposed. The entrance doors are accessed by rubble steps, with one set below the loading door and another to the right. All the windows are two-light casements with glazing bars. The interior is believed to retain old mill machinery.
