Description

No. 1 The Quay is an end-terraced house built around 1830-1840. It features a stuccoed stone rubble exterior and a slate roof that is hipped at the left end, with a brick stack at the right end. The house is double-fronted and has a central hall plan, along with a projecting rear stair turret. It stands two storeys tall and has a symmetrical three-window range. All windows are 16-paned sashes, with horizontal sliding louvred timber sashes. The central entrance has a classical door surround and a six-panelled door. There is also a round-arched stair window at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
