Description
The dairy range, built in the 18th century, is located approximately 5 metres north-east of Tapeley Park House. Constructed of brick in Flemish bond, it features a hipped slate roof. Originally, the building had two rooms on either side of a central carriageway, though the partition on the east side has been removed. The structure is two storeys high and consists of five bays, with the centre section projecting forward. This section has a pedimental gable topped with a wooden bellcote and a weather vane. A brick plat-band runs along the first floor sill level.
The windows on both the ground and first floors are set in round-headed recesses. The ground floor features tripartite windows with leaded panes and flat brick arches, while the first floor has Diocletian windows with blind sidelights and 2-light casements, each with six panes per light. The central carriageway is accessed through a cambered brick arch. Inside, the right-hand room contains dairy slate slabs and blue glazed tiles.
