Description

The gatepiers and flanking walls on the south side of the churchyard for the Church of St Peter are notable features. The flanking walls are possibly from the late medieval period, while the gatepiers date back to the 18th century. The flanking walls are constructed from stone rubble and topped with weathered dressed coping stones. The gatepiers are made of brick, featuring a square section with moulded brick caps, which are further topped by smaller moulded ashlar caps.
