GV II

House. Late C18 with later alterations. Stone, stuccoed and blocked out; slate roof;end stacks with brick shafts. Plan: Double depth main block with central stair;later rear right wing. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4-bay front. Slightly recessed C20 front door to left of centre. 3 ground floor 16-pane sashes, 2 ground floor windows right horned replacements, the left hand window original early C19. 3 first floor 3/6 pane sashes, the right hand bay blind. The rear elevation has a round-headed stair window with glazing bars and margin panes. Cob garden walls to the rear garden are included in the listing. Interior: Original joinery includes moulded doorframes, panelled doors. Stick baluster stair. Roof: The main block has king post and strut roof trusses with pegged joints. Photograph of the c.1950s seen by the owner shows the front elevation with a timber doorcase to the front door.
