Description
Timewells Cottage is a Grade II listed cottage dated 1746, constructed from plastered stone rubble with a stone rubble stack and chimney shaft. The roof is covered with asbestos tiles, which were formerly thatch. The cottage features a two-room plan and faces south-west, with a central entrance hall. The right room is unheated, while the left room has a gable-end stack. It is two storeys high and includes a secondary outshot on the right end. The exterior has a symmetrical three-window front with late 19th to early 20th century casements that include glazing bars. The central doorway features a late 19th to early 20th century plank door behind a contemporary gabled porch, and the roof is gable-ended. The interior was not available for inspection during the survey, but the owner noted that there were no exposed carpentry details and some timbers have been replaced.
