Description

Jasmine Cottage is a Grade II listed cottage located on Seaton Fore Street, set back from the street front. It dates from the 16th century and was remodeled in the 18th century. The building is constructed of plastered stone rubble and features a new tile roof with gabled ends. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range, with three-light casements that include glazing bars. The ground floor has a left-hand sash window and a tripartite sash window in the center, along with a 19th-century panelled door. The chimney stacks are rebuilt in brick.

Inside, the cottage has three jointed arch trusses and plank and muntin screens, one of which includes a Tudor arched doorway. The ceiling beams are chamfered and feature truncated pyramid stops.
