Description

Belmont House, formerly known as Rose Cottage, is a detached town house built around 1840. It features a stucco exterior and a slate roof with gabled ends. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. The first-floor windows are sash style, complete with glazing bars and margin panes. On the ground floor, there are French windows also with margin panes, leading to a three-bay verandah supported by openwork cast-iron columns and a frieze decorated with a key motif. The house has two modern flat-roof dormers and Gothic-style attic windows in the gable ends.
